Emma Johnston, a skilled Bahamian equestrian athlete, delivered an impressive performance at the HITS Post Time Premier 1 Competition in Ocala, Florida, over the weekend. Competing in four show jumping classes, Johnston consistently finished in the ribbons, showcasing her talent and dedication.

Johnston partnered with Acanto Blue, a 12-year-old Oldenburg gelding owned by Elise Amundeson. Their weekend began with warm-up rounds at the 0.90m level, where they achieved notable success by securing second and third place finishes. Demonstrating their competitive edge, Johnston and Acanto Blue advanced to the 1.0m Jumpers on Saturday. Among 16 competitors, they claimed the seventh position, further highlighting their competence and consistency.

On Sunday, Johnston achieved her weekend’s pinnacle performance in the $1,000 The League Jr/Am 1.0m Jumper Classic. The event featured 14 riders, all vying for top honors. Johnston and Acanto Blue executed a flawless first round, successfully advancing to the jump-off. In a display of precision and speed, they completed the jump-off without faults, clocking a time of 36.943 seconds. This outstanding effort earned them a commendable third place finish in the classic.
